Dear Gnatijano,
On behalf of our Samaj’s Management Committee, we wish you all a Happy Diwali and best wishes for the New Year.
We get together in our Samaj due to our common background, culture and traditions, and enjoy together the festivities and continue our ties over generations. Our organisation helps us collectively to pool our resources and to organise and finance our events and keep our contact details up-to-date.
So we thank all the dedication and hard work by our past Management Committees and volunteers for us to have progressed so far with already having Charity registration, proper finance records, and systems set up for memberships and communications.
Whilst committees have changed, our own music group Jai Bardai Melodies have provided dedicated services for many years. We realise how much it has benefitted the Samaj not just financially but giving a platform to our own to perform and inspire some youngsters to be part of the group. Perhaps they would never have had such an opportunity to practice. So special thanks to all past and present members who served through Jai Bardai Melodies, for their dedication, efforts and time for the progress of our Samaj.
We have improved over time our methods of communications via website and emails, and use of technology to facilitate payment of fees, donations, and event tickets. So my thanks go to the younger members who have dedicated their skills and a lot of their valuable time to make it possible.
So let us all give some thought, time and effort to progress our Samaj so we maintain our values and good practices and undertake improvements with changing circumstances.
