Sri Bardai Brahmin Samaj Leicester (UK) held its annual Navratri celebrations from Saturday 23rd September to Sunday 1st October this year, with the Sharad Poonum programme held on Friday 6th October at Judgemeadow Community College in Leicester. The Samaj’s own music group, Jai Bardai Melodies, provided the music and singing, and the successful programme was well attended especially at the 2 weekends and Sharad Poonum.

Visitors also attended from Birmingham, Wellingborough, London, India and the USA, and commented on how they were well impressed at the crowd attendance, traditional garba and community spirit.

Attendees really enjoyed the garba and dandia raas, Ranjanyu and the new item this year known as the“Sanedo”.
