Image Capture Policy

The Samaj Image Capture Policy refers to all images on this website, and their use on all Samaj publications.

Images may be captured during events/activities organised and hosted by the Samaj, using stills photography, video or other any other medium. The Samaj reserves the right to use such images on the Samaj Website, Newsletters and/or other publicity material (such as flyers). The Samaj acknowledges its responsibilities in capturing images under the Human Rights Act 1998: The Samaj recognises an individual’s rights to privacy as protected by this Act. However, the Samaj is also aware of its right to capture images at a public event.

The Samaj, or a photographer commissioned by the Samaj, will own all rights over any images taken by them, and reserve the right to publish these images, or to offer them for sale to its members.

Upon membership renewal or upon becoming a new member, the Samaj will inform members attending Samaj activities, that they may be photographed, filmed,
or otherwise captured in image form. A member attending an event and/or activity organised by the Samaj is deemed to have given their prior consent to being photographed or videoed, as per the Samaj image capture policy.
