It is with heavy hearts that we inform you of the passing our beloved Dilipkumar Shyam Thanki, who peacefully passed on Tuesday 24th June 2025 in Leicester, UK surrounded by his loved ones.
Born in Lindi, Tanzania, he was the youngest son of Shyam Trikamji Thanki and Lalitaben Thanki. In his youth he moved to the UK, and later raised his family in Mumbai and Nairobi and finally settling in Leicester.
He was a larger than life character who exude warmth and care for those around him. He was generous with his time and affections to those who he held close, alongside a cheeky remark and always a smile.
Dilip was a beloved husband and partner to Chandrika and a much adored and proud father to Asha, Sameer and Nisha.
He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and relatives.
May his soul rest in eternal peace.
