The Christmas Party this year was excellent! The party, held on the evening of Friday 5th December 2008, was very successful, and the Samaj Management Committee were pleased that a high number of Samaj members attended the party and helped on the day, creating a warm community team spirit.
The evening kicked off with a welcome from Surendrabhai Dave, followed by a minute silence to remember the victims of the Mumbai shootings. The tradional party game of musical chairs followed for the under 12s. Then came the mouthwatering buffet which everyone, especially the kids, enjoyed, consisting of pizzas, chips, garlic bread, bhel and followed by mince pies and ice cream. Games for other ages, including adults were also played. Santa appeared and captivated the Christmas for kids! A raffle was also held.
The Samaj President, Jayeshbhai Joshi, thanked the co-ordinators, Anant Bhogaita and Surendrabhai Dave, and all who helped plan the successful evening.
Dancing to English, Bollywood and Bhangra tracks arranged by Heena Dave and Neha Dave, and host Rahul Thanki got the crowd wild. The evening was splended and enjoyed by all.
