Chandra Bhogaita’s father, Hirjibhai J Bhogaita (formally of Rana Rojivada, near Porbandar), was originally a cook and partner in Sukh Saagar Sweet Mart, Jinja, Uganda.
Then he had Vijay Sweet Mart, Lubas Road, Jinja.(opposite Elite Cinema), but later opened Vijay Sweet Mart, Main Street, Jinja, Uganda.
Chandra has been following his father’s footsteps, learning and making food dishes in the lockdown. His cooking videos have featured in the Facebook group “Gujarati Food from Africa and International Cuisine”.
